Simple Sunday Plan
We want to be available for adventurous souls who wish to come to worship. On the other hand, we do not want to cause any leaders, or their loved ones, to sense a requirement, or even encouragement, to venture out in what they deem to be unsafe conditions.
So, if a Sunday morning appears unusually dangerous, but is not a Sheriff’s snow emergency, staff and three or more elders will announce a “Simple Sunday”.
IN CASE OF BAD SUNDAY WEATHER
If the Sheriff announces a snow emergency, urging cars off the roads, we will cancel all activities.
If a Sunday mornings appears unusually dangerous, but there is not a snow emergency declared, we may announce a “Simple Sunday”.
1. On a Simple Sunday, one or more of the Pastors and/or the Director of Music will take responsibility for leadership that morning.
2. No other staff or leaders will be required or unnecessarily encouraged to attend.
3. Any members who wish to come to worship will be led by the staff in a simplified worship service.
4. The leaders will assign a few tasks from among those who attend.
Notification will be made by e-mail; television channels 6 & 8;
The Republic; radio stations QMIX and White River,
and through a phone chain if time permits.
