ADULT NURTURE - 11 a.m.
FIRST TIME CLASS PARTICIPANTS WELCOME!

President of the Columbus based Energy Matters Community Coalition, Sam Geckler, will speak in general about energy policy and what you can do to lower your energy consumption. Participants will also be able to provide input (requests!) for future adult learning opportunities on other topics related to energy consumption and city, state, and federal policy initiatives.

Islam - As the world is made smaller and smaller by modern communications, our awareness of other cultures continues to grow.
And yet, members of the world's two largest religions— Christianity and Islam - remain surprisingly uninformed about one another. Even though we hear about Islam almost daily in the news media, the images are largely about terrorist minorities. In this class we will focus on the basic history and beliefs of Islam and then discuss two of the major questions people raise: "Is Islam a violent religion?" and "Is Islam oppressive to women?" The class will meet for four weeks (May 3, 10, and 17) and will be taught by The Rev. Sharon Williams- Hanrattie. Class will meet in the Crump Room.

Living the Questions 2.0 - Cindy McMillin will lead this seven session follow-on to the Living the Questions class conducted earlier this year. “Living the Questions 2.0: An Introduction to Progressive Christianity” is a series of small group studies aimed at helping people explore beyond the conventional theologies of traditional Christianity. Cindy notes that this series is intentionally titled “living the questions,” and not “finding the answers.” Participants need not have been part of the previous series to join in these classes. Class will meet in the Reeves Room.
