Catherine Elliott, Music Assistant and Children’s Choir Director, will
be playing the Cassavant Pipe Organ. Sarah Hager, oboe, will provide special music.
Upcoming Adult Nurture Classes at 11 a.m.
August 8 – Sharon Williams-Hanrattie will fill us in on the joys,
tribulations and political frustrations involved in the process of
adopting her daughter, Kaelin, in Vietnam.
August 15 – Madonna Yates choosing from a lifetime of medical mission
experiences has selected a dramatic cultural breakthrough for the
Quichua of southern Ecuador. This eye team (ophthalmologists,
opticians, optometrists, nurses and general helpers) watched in awe
as ....... well, you'll just have to come and see what happened. Once
again, a Million-Dollar Vacation.
August 22 – The Porter Family will be sharing their recent trip to the
Galapogos Islands.
August 29 - Hear the tale of Tom Carmichael, a modern day Huck Finn,
as he relives his canoe trip from Columbus to the Mississippi River.
Childcare is available during Adult Nurture from 11am-noon.

BOOK GROUPS:
There are two book groups within the church. Both are OPEN and anyone is welcome to join!
The LIBRARY book group is in its 12th year. This group reads a wide variety of books including some religious books. They are not exclusive to religious books. They meet at NOON (brown bag lunch!), the 2nd Friday each month from September through May.
The STUDY GROUP is a new group welcoming new members interested. For addiitonal information, contact Nancy Sawin.
WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
at 10:30 a.m. is meeting at Four Seasons Retirement Center. Call Marge LeBrec at 372-6910 for more information. Lunch is available ($11), please call to make arrangements in the Private Dining Room. We meet monthly - third Wednesday. All women are welcome. Come; bring a friend!
FPC TRANSPORT CARE provides volunteer transportation, on occasion, to those members who no longer drive or have special needs, to attend Sunday worship or special events. This program responds to requests made to our church office (372-3783) or our program coordinator, Kathy Therber 342-7627. The information needed will be date for visit, member name, address, phone number, and any special needs (walker, wheelchair, etc.). Our program coordinator, Kathy, will coordinate details with a driver from our volunteer transportation pool, who will handle the remaining details directly with the named passenger. We have some drivers from our “Time and Talent” pool at present, however, if you have an interest to increase this resource, please let us know. Also if you are already providing this help to someone, please let Kathy know.
